Using a continuous tile pattern over the threshold creates the illusion of more floor space in the 3/4 bath. The towel rack and vertical shower bar are intentionally installed with blocking so they can double as grab bars for safely entering and exiting the shower.

Every inch is put to good use with an accent cove and conveniently placed towel storage. A folding teak chair offers a comfortable spot to rest whenever needed.

Straight lines add visual interest, with the stairs echoing the home’s original mid-century construction. Full-height red oak balusters allow light and air to flow easily between levels.

With reclaimed wood, magnetic handles, and a dash of ingenuity, each step hides a pull-out drawer, adding functional storage without giving away a hint.

A custom red oak coat rack built to mount on partial metal studs along a challenging pocket door wall, with molding and tile matched to the existing home and remodeled bathroom for a seamless, cohesive look.

The original posts were too warped to restore as planned, but a clever wrap with a subtle height scale now serves a dual purpose with style.

A spare bedroom closet still offers storage space thanks to a custom furnace enclosure. This setup helps block both the sight and sound of the mechanical system while maintaining easy service access.
